JOIN THE MOVEMENT.
Your support will help create more opportunities for Latino & bilingual social workers to succeed.
THE CHALLENGE
Close to 19% of people in the United States are estimated to be Latino or of Hispanic origin. The shortage of qualified Latino and bilingual social workers has an adverse effect on the mental health of some of our most vulnerable communities. The COVID-19 pandemic has only exacerbated these disparities, and has highlighted how crucial it is to ensure that our communities get the mental health care they deserve.
OUR APPROACH
Our mission to increase the number of culturally and linguistically competent Latino and bilingual social workers is accomplished by providing:
-
Scholarships
-
Community Outreach and Networking Opportunities
-
Mentorship
-
Continuing Education and Professional Development Opportunities
THE IMPACT
Your support will enable the Coalition to offer even more scholarships and professional development opportunities for Latino and bilingual social workers to enter the field and join the fight for mental health parity for our communities.
