Salary: $70,000 - $74,000 per year

Job Details:

The Social Services Program Manager oversees the daily activities and development of CIS-NYC's Social Services Program. This Program serves low-income immigrant families from around New York City by providing them with comprehensive case management, individual supportive counseling, and psychoeducational support groups.

In addition to providing direct mental health services, the Social Services Program Manager is responsible for

supervising Social Services staff,

planning and implementing systems for provision of Case Management and Counseling Services, developing necessary programmatic policies and procedures,

and ensuring timely and high-quality data entry, among other duties.

 

The Social Services Program Manager will work closely with program staff to ensure CIS-NYC's services are consistently responsive to diverse client needs and in alignment with CIS-NYC's mission. Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individual supportive counseling.

Formulate care plans and ongoing monitoring of clients.

Expectation of 10 –12 counseling encounters per week.

• Plan and lead weekly psychoeducational support groups for immigrant women and parents.

• Provide supervision to Social Services Program staff, including Case Managers, Interns, and Volunteers by providing regular feedback and guidance and ensuring organizational policies and practices are maintained.

• Oversee all program intakes and referrals.

Monitor Social Services caseloads and assign and review Case Management and Counseling cases.

• Maintain up-to-date case records and program statistics in Apricot Case Management system. Monitor data entry, review data entry practices, and provide timely monthly reports.

• Oversee coordination of occasional community events and client gatherings.

• Plan, implement and evaluate systems for provision of Case Management and Counseling Services.

• Develop policies and procedures for Social Services Program in collaboration with Executive Director, Director of Community Programs & Development, and program staff.

• Coordinate community outreach and establish referral relationships with other service providers.

• Coordinate training and professional development for staff.

• Manage program budget.

• Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) required (NYS)

• 3+ years of related professional work experience required.

• 2+ years' experience with program development, growth, implementation, and project management preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of and commitment to the mission of CIS-NYC and our clients.

• Strong clinical assessment skills.

• Excellent writing, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.

• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills.

• Knowledge of the U.S. immigration system, case management related to immigration, and/or experience working directly with immigrants is desirable.

• Sensitivity to different cultures and communities; demonstrated ability to work well with diverse or marginalized populations.

• Able to work collaboratively with colleagues on an interdisciplinary team.

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word.

Able to quickly learn new technology.

• SIFI certified or able to become certified within 1 year of hiring.

• All prospective job candidates must meet screening requirements, which includes a criminal background check.

• Fluency in Spanish required.
